To Start

Welcome to Our Little Pockets. This blog is (will be) a collection short (and maybe sometimes long) creative non-fiction adventure tales from several little pockets of the universe. The idea is simple; life is interesting, especially when led by interesting people, and extra especially when told by good story tellers.

So I invited three of my friends, all which are excellent writers and fascinating people, to write up stories of their every day lives. There may be small bit of divergence from tale telling while diving into opinion pieces, philosophical exploration, and the like, but the the focus and the meat (and/or potatoes) of this blog will be real life stories well written by likable nobodies.

The pockets we will be broadcasting from include Chicago, Il, Rochester, NY (the campus of Rochester Institute of technology located in the suburb known as Henrietta), Cleveland, OH, and Vancouver, BC.

What makes this different than the 100000000000000’s of personal blogs out there? Well, there wont be any “hey check out - insert silly internet meme or interesting tech review-, it rockzors!!!1” posts. There are plenty of amazing sources for those already in existence (boingboing.net and neatorama.com being two of my favorite). There wont be any “my cat died today =(*” one liners, and angst-y “i hate the world” posts will be non-existent. No “i got an iPhone”’s or movie reviews either. Life’s an adventure, we just want to share a few of ours with you, and we want to do it in a well composed and possibly multimedia way.
